THE ROLE
I am seeking a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to join a go-ahead firm of consultants in the construction industry in their Manchester office.
Projects are varied and are for clients in the private and public sectors.
My client seeks MRICS qualified candidates but may consider someone approaching APC with a background of working for another firm of consultants.
The role could also include doing some Employers Agent and Project Monitoring duties too.
THE COMPANY
My client is a large firm of construction consultants offering clients a range of services including Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Building Surveying, Architecture and more.
They have a number of UK offices and are starting to expand abroad.
They work for known clients in the private and public sectors on a range of building projects.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and you will be from recently chartered level ideally although someone about to take the APC will be considered with a background of working for another firm of consultants.
You will need experience of all pre and post contract work.
You should be working for another firm of consultants.
You must be able to run your own projects from inception to completion.
Experience of being able to further develop relationships with clients.
Some experience of the Employers Agent role and Project Monitoring would be useful.
You must have good communication skills, both written and spoken, be able to handle projects without supervision including running meetings and dealing with clients.
Salary: £40000 – £50000 per annum + car allowance, pension, BUPA, RICS fees +
