THE ROLE
I am seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a firm of contractors working on projects in the leisure and residential sectors, based in Cambridgeshire.
You should be able to work without supervision generally on projects valued from £50K to around £5m.
Projects are varied and including some new build, extensions and some fit-outs and projects include private sector residential, hotels, pubs, restaurants etc.
You should be able to do all QS duties from post tender secured works. Some experience of estimating would be useful.
THE COMPANY
My client is an established medium sized contractor.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor who can work without supervision.
Ideally you will have at least ten years experience or more and have experience of working on a number of projects concurrently.
You should have experience of working on fit-outs, new build and extensions valued to around £5m.
You will need to have good all round QS skills and have done all post tender QS duties.
You will need good client facing skills.
You will have a stable work record as my client mainly has people who stay with them for a long period of time.
You will have some formal qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management e.g. HNC / HND, Diploma, Degree etc.
Salary will be from £40000 to £65000 plus pension, car, discretionary bonus.
