THE ROLE

I am seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join my client, a friendly firm of building construction consultants in the City of London.

You will work on new build, refurbishment and fit out projects for hotels, residential and more.

Projects generally valued from around £500K to £8m with some larger.

You will work on the full run of project management duties from inception to project delivery.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful growing firm of construction consultants providing project management and cost management services to private owners, occupiers, developers etc.

The majority of their projects are in the UK around London and the South East.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be an Assistant Project Manager who has a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Civil / Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management or similar subject and you will be currently working for another firm of construction consultants and be keen to progress your career in project management.

Support will be given to become chartered with the RICS.

You should have excellent communication skills and be keen to work as part of a team.

You will need around two years relevant experience in the construction industry managing all aspects of contract administration, engaging with the client, construction and design teams to move the project forward to a successful completion.

You should have experience of using JCT contracts.

Be able to write formal reports and documents.

Salary is negotiable according to your experience but likely to be in the range of £30000 to £40000 per annum (or slightly more) plus pension, fees and discretionary bonus.
