THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Chartered Building Surveyor to join a firm of consultants at ASSOCIATE DESIGNATE BUILDNG SURVEYOR level to head up and be responsible to grow this service within this firm.

Duties will include undertaking professional and project work for a variety of clients across a number of sectors including education, commercial, residential etc.

You will need to have gained broad based building surveying experience of both project and professional duties.

You will be involved in networking and business development so should have some good contacts within the industry.

My client is based in Kent and works on projects across London and the South East.

THE COMPANY

Our client is an established firm of construction consultants offering services to include building surveying, quantity surveying and project management.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Chartered Building Surveyor with a Degree or Diploma or MSc in Building Surveying plus you will need to be MRICS qualified.

You will have at least five years post qualification experience or more.

You must have experience in all core Building Surveying duties in particular good experience of due diligence, surveys, and dilapidations, acquisition surveys etc.

You should have experience of contract administration and preparation of specifications and schedules of work. Some experience of project management preferred.

Experience of drafting of Standard Contract forms.

Experience of defect analysis.

Be able to negotiate.

You should be able to contribute to business development and networking activities.

You should have some contacts to help this division grow and be able to do client presentations, fee bids and help grow this division.

You need to have a stable work record and good communication skills.

A full UK driving licence holder is preferred.

Salary: £60000 – £70000 per annum + Pension, healthcare, RICS fees, bonus
