THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity for Chartered Building Surveyors at any level from just chartered through to senior level to join a firm of consultants based in South East London.

The role will be varied and will include both project and professional work and if you have any experience of the Employer’s Agent role that would also be useful..

Projects include a range of residential buildings including high rise, plus projects for the change of cladding currently, also some offices and leisure projects too.

You will need to have good technical experience and a good understanding of construction and property generally.

My client is fairly flexible about work location and you can work from home for around 3 days per week with a couple of days in the office as required.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a firm of construction consultants employing over 100 people.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Chartered Building Surveyor with a Degree or Diploma or MSc in Building Surveying plus you will need to be MRICS qualified.

You will be from just chartered level through to senior level.

You should be working either for another firm of building surveying consultants or with a multi-disciplinary firm of consultants.

You will need to have experience of surveys including acquisition surveys, stock condition surveys, measured surveys, contract administration, fire risk assessments, defect diagnosis, structural surveys, maintenance planning, neighbourly matters and ideally also have an interest in conversation work as my client also does some with English Heritage.

At senior level you should be able to manage less senior surveyors and mentor those working towards APC.

You should have good client facing skills and be able to deal with people at all levels.

A full UK driving licence and own transport is required.

Salary is from £40000 up to £70000 per annum for someone with very good experience at senior level. My client also contributes 4% towards a pension and you will be expected to match this, health insurance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 45ppm expenses, provides a monthly telephone allowance etc.
