THE ROLE

I am seeking a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to join my client in Sunderland.

You will work on projects across a wide variety of sectors including healthcare projects for the NHS, Education, Commercial for private sector clients, residential and leisure.

You will need to be a Quantity Surveyor working for another firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants and ideally you may also have gained some experience of the Employer’s Agent role.

You will also be responsible for an assistant QS.

My client is continuing to expand which has created this role to work on a range of exciting projects across the North East.

THE COMPANY

My client is a large firm of construction consultants offering cost management, project management and EA services with several offices across the North East and North West of England.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Quantity Surveyor from recently chartered level upwards.

You will need to have pre and post contract experience as a QS with experience to include estimating, tender reporting, contract administration, cost control, programme and risk management.

You will be keen to get involved in a role which will include all QS duties and Employer’s Agent duties too.

Previous experience of healthcare projects would be preferred in particular for NHS projects (P22) and experience of projects in other sectors useful as my client is also working in the education, commercial, residential and leisure sectors.

Any knowledge of BIM would also be useful.

You should be able to supervise a less experienced Quantity Surveyor.

Salary is very negotiable according to experience plus pension, fees, performance related bonus etc.
