THE ROLE

I am seeking a Chartered Quantity Surveyor who is keen to step up to senior level to join a firm of PQS in the City of London.

You will work on new build, refurbishment and fit out projects for hotels, residential, offices, student accommodation projects.

Projects generally valued between £10m to £30m with some smaller and some larger.

You will run your own projects reporting to a partner.

THE COMPANY

My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing project management and cost management services to private and corporate clients.

They are mainly working on London based projects however are also involved in some projects across Europe as required by clients.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be an MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry.

You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants or multi disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.

You are likely to have a couple of years post qualification experience and be keen to step up to Senior QS level.

You must have worked as a QS from feasibility through project delivery and handover.

You will be fully conversant with all pre and post contract duties including feasibility studies, cost planning, tender documentation and award, contract administration and all post contract duties.

You will have good overall technical knowledge of construction procedures.

You should have experience of using JCT contracts.

You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.

Salary is negotiable according to your experience but likely to be in the range of £55000 to £65000 per annum plus pension, fees and discretionary bonus.
