THE ROLE
I am seeking a Chartered Quantity Surveyor at Project Surveyor or Senior Project Surveyor level to join a firm of PQS in the London SE1 area who are offering a great career path for the right person.
Clients are mainly blue chip investors building high rise offices, mixed use, hotels and similar of very high value and quality.
This is a great opportunity to join a thriving and popular team within their London office working with prestigious Blue Chip clients on challenging projects.
Duties will include cost modelling, cost planning, procurement and contract advice, tender documentation, change control, post contract cost management, final accounts negotiation and settlement etc.
THE COMPANY
My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing the full range of cost management / quantity surveying services and employers agent services to large corporates / investors.
They currently have two UK offices and are expanding.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be an MRICS qualified Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager in the building construction industry at either Project Surveyor or Senior Project Surveyor level.
You will need to be working for another firm of construction consultants (PQS) or multi-disciplinary consultants in the construction industry.
You are likely to be from recently chartered level through to senior level.
You must have worked as a QS from feasibility through project delivery and handover.
You will be fully conversant with all pre and post contract duties including feasibility studies, cost planning, tender documentation and award, contract administration and all post contract duties.
You will have good overall technical knowledge of construction procedures.
You should have experience of using JCT contracts.
You must have excellent English to write formal reports and documents.
You should have a stable work record with other consultants.
Salary is negotiable according to your experience but likely to be in the range of £50000 to £75000 per annum plus pension, life assurance, RICS fees, cycle to work scheme, performance related bonus and more.
