THE ROLE
I am seeking a Project Manager to join my client, a large firm of multi disciplinary construction and engineering consultants in their Belfast office.
You will work on a varied range of building construction and possible infrastructure projects across a variety of sectors.
You will work on the full run of project management duties from inception to project delivery.
You will provide a supporting role on large scale projects or manage small projects on your own.
The role will be on building construction projects working on the whole project lifecycle from inception and business case, feasibility, through the design phases, procurement process, site delivery, commissioning and defects phases to handover.
THE COMPANY
My client is a large international firm of construction and engineering consultants with offices across the UK.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Project Manager who has a BSc or MSc in a Built Environment subject e.g. Quantity Surveying, Civil / Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management, Architecture or similar subject.
You may be working towards Chartered status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or equivalent or you may already be chartered.
You should be working for another firm of construction consultants.
You must have a good understanding of building technology and a good understanding of contract types and procurement to advise the clients.
Knowledge of HSE issues.
Some experience in the use of JCT Contract Administration and NEC 3/4 Contract Administration.
You will need to be able to develop and maintain construction project schedules, budgets, performace metrics, status reports etc. and make sure that projects are running and completed on time, within budget and to the clients’ specification.
You should be able to write formal reports and documents.
Salary is negotiable according to your experience plus there is a good company pension, private medical insurance, life assurance, professional fees and a number of other benefits.
