THE ROLE

I am seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to join my client, a large international firm of construction and engineering consultants the London E1 area.

You will have the opportunity to work on landmark construction projects for commercial, residential and education sectors.

You will work on the full run of PQS duties including all pre and post contract work.

My client is a successful international firm of construction and engineering consultants with a good reputation.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager who has a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management or similar subject and you will be either working towards taking your APC currently or your may be recently chartered with the RICS or up to a few years PQE.

You should be working for another firm of construction consultants / PQS and have a stable work record.

You be able to be a Project Surveyor for smaller Cost Management commissions taking responsibility for their successful delivery or reporting to a Senior Surveyor or Associate for larger projects.

You will be able to do all aspects of cost management and quantity surveying from inception to completion of projects with experience of both pre and post contract duties.

Experience of pre-contract estimating, procurement, contract administration, cost reporting and final account resolution is essential.

You should have good IT skills and be able to use digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools.
